California voters have given Congress the lowest approval ratings ever measured within the past 20 years. 79 percent disapprove of the job Congress is doing – just 12 percent approve. Slightly more than half of Californians approve of President Obama’s job performance – down 13 percent from a year ago.
Voters are evenly split on the issue of Mr. Obama’s handling of health care. But that’s an improvement from January, when more voters disapproved. The current poll shows Democrats are three times as likely as before to approve of Mr. Obama on health care. But 80 percent of Californians disapprove of Congress’ performance in relation to health care.
