Angie Dillingham is with the U-S Forest Service. She says the terrain is making it tough for firefighters. And she says if you’re driving in the area…you’ll find traffic controls in effect.
“It is burning just above Highway 70. It’s on very steep, rocky cliffs. People who are driving up Highway 70 should expect to have short delays in traffic because Cal Trans is escorting the two directions of traffic back and forth in the vicinity of the fire.”
About 300-firefighters are working the blaze. No structures are threatened.
Dillingham says full containment is predicted by Thursday. Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused blaze.
