Business Journal: Midtown Housing Project Moves Forward

In a sign that maybe the economy is getting a little better, at least for the housing market, a public-private partnership will begin selling condos in a soon-to-be built eight-story housing project in midtown Sacramento.  The "Warren" is planned for 16th and N streets, a block away from Capitol Park - with prices starting at $300,000 for a one-bedroom unit.  That's a more moderate price than other recent projects in the neighborhood.  And a state grant will cut the price even more for lower-income buyers.

East End Gateway - a joint venture between Nehemiah Community Reinvestment Fund in Sacramento and EM Johnson of San Francisco, along with the Capitol Area Development Authority - is planning for the 117-condo project to replace a decades-old apartment complex and a parking lot.
