The River City Food Bank in Midtown Sacramento erupted in flames just before 2 A.M. this morning.
Sacramento City Fire Captain Jonathon Burgess was one of the 104 firefighters at the scene.
"It's still standing, but pretty much everything inside is destroyed."
Now, the food bank's director, Eileen Thomas, is trying to figure out how she'll provide food for the three thousand people who depend on the food bank each month.
"We're gonna look for a new facility and place and hopefully get ourselves up and get going again, but at this point I don't really know how."
The River City Food Bank has operated in Sacramento for 42 years. Thomas says people who rely on the food bank should contact the California Emergency Food Link.
