Arena Plan: Natomas The Sacramento First Task Force, the citizens' committee created in 2009 by Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson to come up with a plan for a new sports and entertainment complex in Sacramento, has received updates from four teams vying for the project. We'll hear from a representative of each team about their plan and why they think they public should support them. Today we start with Jeff Baize, who represents the Natomas ESC Partners plan.

Area Levees How are area levees holding up? Are there any reasons to be concerned with the heavy storms hitting the region? We'll talk with Interim Executive Director for the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency and a representative of the Department of Water Resources about it.

County Supes Meet the Governor Yolo County Supervisor Mike McGowan was amongst a group of county officials that met with Gov. Jerry Brown on his second day of office. Capital Public Radio's Ben Adler talked with McGowan about the meeting and what the Governor has in mind when he talks about returning more power to local governments.

Father of the Plug-in Car UC Davis professor Andy Frank, known as the father of the plug-in hybrid car, picked up one of the first Chevy Volts in the United States at a Davis dealership on Dec 21st. It's the climax of lifetime of research and development and he's going to tell us what it's like to drive 500 miles on 5 gallons of gas.
