Judiciary Budget Cuts Gov. Jerry Brown proposed last week permanently cutting the judiciary's budget by $200 million as part of his plan to reduce the state's deficit. The governor's budget proposal leaves it up to the California Judicial Branch to decide - at least initially - where to make the cuts. We'll talk about it with Emily Green, a reporter for "The Daily Journal" whose been covering the story.

Realigning Services Gov. Jerry Brown proposed moving many services from the state of California back to the county and city level in his draft budget. How will that work and what will it mean for Sacramento County? Capital Public Radio's Ben Adler spoke with Interim Sacramento County Executive Director Steve Szaley about Gov. Brown's realignment plan of state services.

Health Benefit Exchange If you don't have health insurance, or can barely afford it, the health benefit exchanges are supposed to help, but not for a few years yet. Kim Belshe, the former Secretary of Health and Human Services, was recently named to California's Health Benefit Exchange Board, which is an volunteer position. We'll find out how California's health benefit exchange is progressing.

Snow Sport Safety A new report that looks at several safety practices at well-known snow sport mountain resorts in California is being released today for the first time. We'll talk about it with Dick Penniman, the author of the report and founder of the SnowSport Safety Foundation.
