Water Rates Why does Sacramento's water company want to raise many of its customers rates by more than a third over three years? California American Water will be hosting two community meeting today and tomorrow to inform customers of its current request for a rate adjustment from the California Public Utilities Commission. We'll talk about it with Evan Jacobs, external affairs manager for California American Water in Northern California.
 
Arena Task Force Decision The four plans for a new arena go before the Sacramento City Council tomorrow. Sacramento First Task Force, a citizen's committee that considered and ranked the proposals, made their decision on Friday. We'll talk with comittee member Chris Lehane about why they favor David Taylor's plan over the others.
 
Capitol Museum Curator State Capitol Building Manager and Historian Vito Sgromo tells us some of the stories behind all of those official portraits of governors at the State Capitol and what the process will be for adding a painting of former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
 
Yiyun Li Author and UC Davis Professor Yiyun Li was recently named to the shortlist for the prestigious Story Prize, which will be awarded in March. Her latest collection of short stories, "Gold Boy, Emerald Girl," was released last year. This interview originally aired in September 2010.
