Highway 50 Closure For Power Line Repair

Between 2 and 2:30 p.m. today the California Highway Patrol will temporarily close U.S. Highway 50 in both directions near the County Road E16, or Sly Park exit, just east of Pollock Pines.

The closure is to allow PG&E crews to restring power lines above the highway.

It is expected to last 10 to 15 minutes and will allow PG&E crews to safely repair power lines damaged by the recent storms.

The exact time of the closure will depend on the availability of officers in the area.
