Insight: Marcos Breton / Lying Authors / Prospect Theater

Marcos Breton In our regular monthly segment, we talk about various issues in the news, including the continuing Kings saga and development in West Sacramento, with Sacramento Bee columnist Marcos Breton.

Lying Authors A scathing report by 60 Minutes and an expose written by Jon Kraukauer have called into question some of the details in author Greg Mortensen's memoir "Three Cup of Tea." Why do some authors stretch, embellish or even lie about the truth in their books? Do they think that they won't be caught? How do their publishers and/or their readers react? And do people even care if it's a good book?

Prospect Theater A small non-profit theater company in Modesto celebrates 10 year with a production of Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird." We'll talk about the company's with Kathleen Ennis, one of the founders of the theater, as well as actor and board member Josh Bower. We'll also hear about the latest production from director Jim Johnson.
