Insight: Arena Plan / SacPress / Gary Davis / Walking Spanish

Arena Plan The development team working on plans for a new arena in Sacramento have released details. But a key missing piece is the financing. We'll talk about all of this with the Sacramento Bee's Ryan Lillis. We'll also hear how the new arena could impact plans for the intermodal transportation project that's slated for the same spot in the downtown railyards with the Sacramento Bee's Tony Bizjak.

SacPress In our regular Tuesday segment, we discuss local news stories with SacramentoPress.com Editor-in-Chief David Watts Barton. This week, we'll look at Sacramento's ongoing city budget deficit; the design competition for Capitol Mall and new restaurants opening in the area.

Gary Davis You'll meet an Auburn man who works as a stuntman and stunt coordinator on films like "Terminator 2." Gary Davis just finished working on "Spiderman 4."

Walking Spanish Local band Walking Spanish has expanded its sound - going from a trio to a five-member band with keys and electric violin - and recently released a new full-lenth disc, "Wishbones," which they funded through the Kickstarter website. Jeffrey spoke with the band in March. They perform this Saturday at local music festival Shannapaloza.

Shannapalooza starts at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4th and runs through 10 p.m. at Swabbies on the River, 5871 Garden Highway, Sacramento.
