Insight: Phil Angelides / Housing Market / Sac Press / Arena Logistical Issues

Phil Angelides It's been three years since the start of the financial collapse that led to a 700 billion dollar bailout of the banks by the federal government. On the next Insight, we'll talk with Phil Angelides  - who chaired the nation's inquiry into the economic crisis - about what happened then and what has or hasn't happened since.

Housing Market We'll speak with two housing industry experts about what's happened with the housing market since it crashed three years ago.  Nancy West, from HUD, and Daren Blomquist, of RealtyTrac, join us to talk about the past, present and future of Sacramento's housing market.

SacPress In our regular weekly segment, SacramentoPress.com Editor-in-Chief David Watts Barton tells us about some local issues in the news this week, including Sacramento County Board of Supervisors' recent decision to vote down an ordinance to close all the cannabis dispensaries in the county and good news about construction at the Sacramento International Airport.

Arena Logistical Issues An Entertainment and Sports Complex in Sacramento's downtown railyards has more than just political hurdles to overcome.  A city staff report presented to the city council last week identified several possibly costly logistical issues that need to be resolved before any ground can be broke in the old railyards. We'll speak with Bee Metro Reporter Tony Bizjak about the report and other arena issues.
