People participating in the "Great California Shake-Out" won't have the experience of an earthquake simulator . But on 10-20 (Thursday, Oct. 20) at 10:20 in the morning, more than eight million people are expected to take part in the statewide quake drill- it's mostly school children, but businesses and local governments have also signed on.  Kelly Huston with the California Emergency Management  Agency reminds us how it's done:

Huston: "So if you're in a room where you can drop down and get underneath a sturdy desk or table or something and hold on until the shaking stops."

Houston says their studies show not even half of Californians have taken the first steps toward preparing themselves for an emergency.
