The city shut down the site after a hacker from Turkey changed some of the city's pages over the weekend.

Gary Cook is Chief Information Officer for the City.  He says all of the weaknesses in the firewall protection have to be shored up and the information on the old site has to be updated.

COOK: "We're hoping to in the very near future to have the site start to come back up live area by area as we make sure all of the code that's in those and all of the interaction in the site is secure.

The city's parks and recreation, council agendas and Convention Center pages were among those affected.

Cook says the city is fortunate the hacker made his intrusion well-known and did not leave behind any hidden programs.

Cook says there is little likelihood of prosecuting the hacker.
