The owners of the Sacramento Kings and the Mayor of Sacramento will meet again to see if there is any future for an arena deal.

Mayor Kevin Johnson and Kings' co-owner George Maloof will meet within the next week to discuss the funding of a new arena at the Railyards.  Johnson says all parties had a non-binding agreement going into the NBA Board of Governor's meetings this month, but the Maloofs backed out of the deal

JOHNSON:  "Is there a harm for having one more conversation and maybe get a deal?  That's the upside? If not, we find out really quickly that exactly what took place in New York is no different than what's gonna take place wherever we meet whenever we meet.  And then we gotta move forward'."

The Mayor says he believes the Sacramento City Council would go forward with an arena if the Maloofs were to agree to pay roughly $74 million to help build one.  Johnson says the next meeting he has will tell him if he has a deal, has the possibility of a deal, or no deal at all.
