Sac County Supervisor Incumbents Split In Effort To Avoid Runoff

The Sacramento City Council race received a lot more publicity, but there were also two Sacramento County Supervisor races in yesterday’s primary.

Susan Peters kept her District 2 seat by getting nearly two-thirds of the vote in a win over Occupy candidate Jeff Kravitz.

District 3 incumbent Roberta MacGlashan will have to go to a runoff in November. She failed to get more than 50 percent of the vote in her race against Julie Sams and Gary Blenner.

Sams edged Blenner for the second spot by 1100 votes, or about four percent of the vote.
