Scott Yoo is Music Director of the Festival Mozaic in San Luis Obispo, California. He has also served as Music Director of the Metamorphosen Chamber Orchestra, an ensemble he co-founded in 1993. Maestro Yoo continues his role as the Resident Conductor for the Colorado College Summer Music Festival, which he has headed for the past 4 seasons.
Composer, arranger, and producer Patrick Zimmerli writes a sophisticated yet approachable hybrid of jazz and classical music. Zimmerli has just been awarded the prestigious Seattle Commissioning Club Commission for 2013, for an evening-length work for Joshua Redman with String Quartet, Bass, and Percussion. He is currently composer in residence at Music in the Loft in Chicago. Zimmerli has written two Piano Concertos, two Piano Trios, numerous solo, chamber, and vocal pieces, and over 40 pieces for jazz/classical ensemble Emergence.
A native of Canada, Juan Miguel was awarded the First Prize at the 16th International Johannes Brahms Competition adding to other top prizes won at the National Canadian Music Competition, and Sphinx Competition. As a featured guest soloist, he has appeared with the Atlanta, Seattle and Colorado Symphonies, as well as the Rochester Philharmonic. Juan Miguel is a founding member of the Harlem Quartet.
Madeleine Kabat made her solo debut at age 18 with the Cleveland Orchestra. In the upcoming months, she is performing concertos at the Spoleto Festival, Festival Mozaic, and in Medellin, Colombia. Ms. Kabat has won prizes in the Klein International and Fischoff competitions. She has served as principal cellist of the Spoleto Festival USA, Juilliard, Verbier, and Shepherd School orchestras, and was offered a fellowship to the New World Symphony in 2008.
