Air quality monitors don't show high concentrations of smoke in Auburn, Lincoln, Roseville or Colfax.
Heather Kuklo is from the Placer County Air Pollution Control District.
KUKLO: "The fire has increased in size, but what we didn't get this morning, like we did yesterday morning was the downslope winds that would pull smoky conditions down onto the valley floor."
KUKLO: "It's just like a tiny fraction of the diameter of a human hair. Those are the types of particles that can get deep into the lungs, they can settle down there, and it will be an irritant to the lung."
The county says you should stay indoors if you see or smell smoke.
An air quality health advisory is out for the Western Nevada County area this weekend, where officials warn smoke could be dense.
