A new report says housing sales in Sacramento fell slightly in June compared to a year ago, but the housing market is looking up.
Andrew LePage of the research firm DataQuick says foreclosure sales continue to make up less of the market, "Sales in the $200,000-$400,000 range were actually up about 15% in June from a year earlier. Sales below $200,000 were down 8%. So fewer of the less expensive homes, particulary foreclosures, because there just aren't as many."
Year-over-year Home sales increased in five Sacramento-area counties and the median home price increased in three counties. The average price of a home sold in the county last month was $165,000.
