Manipulating California's Energy Market The non-profit corporation in charge of controlling 80 percent of California's energy has accused banking giant JP Morgan Chase of systematically exploiting loopholes in the state's energy market for profit.  JP Morgan Chase allegedly gamed California's residents and businesses out of possibly more than $200 million by discovering it could make more money NOT selling energy than actually selling it.

Sacramento Shakespeare Festival Robbery Last week, the Sacramento Shakespeare Festival was robbed of tens of thousands of dollars of equipment that is used to produce their annual festival. The theft could affect the organization's ability to continue to produce the festival every year, after 27 years of presenting Shakespeare's work in William Land Park. Triple Espresso It's one of the most popular comedies in Sacramento area theatres this summer, and if you haven't seen it yet you've just gotten a little extra time to catch a show. Triple Espresso was scheduled to end production July 22, but California Musical Theatre has extended the show's run through September 9 at the Cosmopolitan Cabaret.

Todd Morgan and the Emblems Todd Morgan and the Emblems started by covering Buddy Holly and Beatles songs while they were students at Rio Americano High School.  The band has just released its first full-length album with all original songs and is performing at a number of shows this summer, including the State Fair on Tuesday, July 24.
