Insight: Earthquake Regularity / Olympic History / "Weird Al" Yankovic / Sound Advice: Submerge

Earthquake Regularity Two earthquakes of magnitudes 4.4 and 4.5 surprised Southern California late Tuesday and early Wednesday.  The United States Geological Survey says the seismic activity is "normal" for the time and place.  Earthquakes, although seemingly random, actually occur with more regularity than we believe.  At least that's what Glenn Biasi, a researcher with the University of Nevada, Reno, has recently discovered.  He has just finished studying the regularity of magnitude 8 earthquakes along the Alpine Fault in New Zealand.
