San Joaquin County Bar Association President James Nuss says there is big need in the community for the free monthly clinics.
NUSS: "And so it's hoping to get people on the right track or helping them answer some basic questions, or determining if they really have need for further legal advice."
Attorney Stephanie Feilzer will answer questions on family law. She says even simple matters can be expensive and out of reach for many clients.
FEILZER: "Most simple situations run now about $1,500-$2,000 but it's difficult for anybody in this day and age to come up with that kind of money."
The first 2-hour clinic will be held between 4 and 6 Wednesday (August 29) afternoon at the San Joaquin Law Library in Stockton.
