The IT and telecommunications specialists will be there for two weeks at the request of Louisiana officials, and they'll work in the nine parishes that felt the worst of the storm.
Tina Walker is with the California Emergency Management Agency. She says the workers will set up a computer system where survivors who lost their homes can request help.
Walker: "You've got thousands of people living in shelters, thousands of people without power. So these nine parishes will be equipped with computer banks so people can come in and quickly get information about resources that will help them as far as applying for financial aid and that kind of thing."
Louisiana will reimburse California for all expenses.
