Sacramento County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives responded to a home in Rancho Cordova Tuesday afternoon  

Jason Ramos with the Sheriffs Department says the father of the children discovered his family, "Officers first arrive and find the guy outside distraught, obviously.  He's not considered a suspect at all right now.  They go inside.  They find the three victims, the woman in her 20's and the two toddlers and then they hear some crying from the rear bedroom….and they go in there and find a baby alive and unharmed in a rear bedroom."

The home is between Old Placerville Road and Highway 50 southwest of Mather Field.  Detectives do not believe firearms were used to commit the murders.
