News Network: At the Polls For this year's
election day we are going to check in around the Sacramento
area to see what you're doing since the shape of our future rides
in large part, on the choices YOU make or have made with your
votes. First checkpoint in our News Network is with Capital
Public Radio Senior Reporter Marianne Russ who spent the morning at
LaSierra Community Center in Carmichael, a Sacramento suburb.
Then we'll speak with Capital Public Radio's Healthcare Reporter
Pauline Bartolone, who is spending the morning at the Sam Pannell
Community Center in Sacramento where voters can also get a flu
shot.
Voter Turnout: Sacramento
Valley It's election day and the focus has switched
from the candidates to the voters. We'll check in with the
Registrars of Voters in Sacramento, San Joaquin and Yolo Counties
to see what turnout looks like and whether polling is running
smoothly.
Voter Turnout: Reno Nevada, as a state, is
being watched closely in the Presidential race … just yesterday,
Paul Ryan made one more stop in Reno on behalf of the Mitt Romney
campaign. We're checking in with the Registrar of Voters in Washoe
County to see what the action is like in a county that could prove
crucial in choosing the next president and get some insight on how
the state's early voting went.
