Hostess Brands will announce Friday if it's going out of business. The company said it would liquidate everything if striking workers didn't go back to work by 5 o'clock Thursday.  The news caused reaction from workers and fans of Hostess treats.

Amy Smith pulled up at the Hostess Bakery and Outlet on Arden Way.  She was ready to cross the picket line to stock up, "I hate to come in here, but I'm terrified that I'm gonna lose my snack cakes. So, I'm gonna stock up.  Is that wrong?"  When asked how much she was planning to spend, she said, "I brought $100."

But before she could go in, she asked Laura Dominguez how things were going.  Dominguez was on the picket line supporting striking workers. She says her husband has worked for Hostess for 16 years, "They're cutting their hours, cutting their pay and then increasing their medical.  They can't do that."

Smith decided to leave without her snack cakes.  She may have a second chance if the company is liquidated. 

Erik Halvorson with Hostess says the company is already in bankruptcy proceedings.  Any further loss of production will force the company to close and sell its assets, "If we can cut our costs, we have a bright future. We have the ability to re-invest in the company and emerge from bankruptcy.  But if these strikes continue, we won't be able to do that."
