A Culinary History of Thanksgiving Almost everything about Thanksgiving, including the menu, has changed since Pilgrims shared a feast with Native Americans in 1621 Colonial America.  On the bright side we now have pies, parades, and football.  But for those of you wishing to get back to the roots of the holiday and possibly even recreate some of the dishes served more than 300 years ago, we'll take a culinary trip in time to the original Thanksgiving table with food writer Elaine Corn.  Learn more about the first Thanksgiving at Plimoth Plantation's website.

Tim Kahl Sacramento Poetry Center Vice President Tim Kahl has just released a new book of poetry titled "The Century of Travel."  As the title implies, it's a "book of excursions," as perceived by Kahl.  He fixes his focus on the migration of all things and ponders the environment that connects people, places, and ideas.  We'll hear some of Kahl's new poetry, including original music he wrote as a soundtrack for his verse.
