Sparky Harris is with the City and says an on-line survey on the subject ends Friday, "What we really want to figure out is how many of those trips are really local trips -ones that are really being generated in an area closer to the river and their destination is actually someplace closer to the river to justify a local bridge."
Harris says the city Planning Department has identified eight possible locations to expand foot and bicycle traffic- including expanding capacity on three existing bridges.
The Planning Department could make a presentation to the City Council as early as June of next year.
