New Legislation and Sketching Governor Brown The new legislative session has begin, with their key word being "supermajority."  We'll talk with our Capitol Bureau Chief Ben Adler about the long "to do" list the new members are facing, as well as what they might be able to accomplish. Then, we're checking in with the Sacramento Bee's new political cartoonist Jack Ohman, who is beginning what he calls his "final chapter" of sketching Governor Jerry Brown. Where Art Ideas Come From  From TED Talks to entire books written on the question, people from every century of existence have wondered, "where do ideas come from?" Sacramento artist Ron Peetz is pondering the same and has taken it upon himself to moderate a panel discussion on the source of ideas, but from the perspective of art. He's gathered 14 artists who will describe their individual ways of working, their modus operandi, and where the genesis of their ideas actually starts, using their own artwork as reference. Today in-studio are Ron Peetz and participating panelist, local painter and woodburner Joy Bertinsun, to share what else-their ideas.

Christian DeWild Singer/songwriter Christian DeWild has been playing solo in the Sacramento area since 2004 when he moved here from the Bay Area. It's when he arrived in Sacramento that he unplugged his amp and began working on his love of blues and folk, both of which reflect his influences and life events.  A blend of acoustic rock, blues, and other bits of American roots music, Christian has released three solo albums and joins us today to play a song and to talk to us about his colorful music.
