Stockton police have ended a long investigation into an internet gambling hall, and it may not be the last of its kind.
Police and state Department of Justice investigators raided D's Cyber Lounge located in a strip mall on Waterloo Road in Stockton.
Stockton police officer Joe Silva says investigators saw a steady flow of customers over the 6-month investigation.
SILVA: "The customers would go there and purchase a card and then go over to the computer terminal and actually can start gambling right there, can play slots, poker, blackjack."
The investigation began after complaints came from other businesses in the strip mall.
Silva says the owner and one employee were arrested.
SILVA: "This person was making a lot of money, he was open 7 days a week, and bringing in approximately $5,000 a day."
Silva says police have learned that other similar gambling houses are also operating in Stockton and are being investigated.
