Nearly 200 people showed up for a gun rights rally on the Capitol steps.
The protestors say they should not have to endure stricter gun laws in response to the mass shooting in Connecticut.
Christina Moratti showed up with her two-year-old and a sign that read "If I can bear a child, I can bear arms."
She says she supports a Republican bill that would allow teachers to carry concealed weapons.
"If we're put in another situation like the Connecticut shooting, I want someone protecting my kids not just being able to lay down their life and then the kids get slaughtered, but I want someone who can stand up and fight back," says Moratti.
