Gun Violence Prevention Task Force In America's re-energized debate on gun control most people agree there's room for change. Finding the middle ground between the people who want sweeping reform and the people who want minor tweaks is where the battle lies. Standing on the dividing line is the hunting, gun-owning Democratic Congressman from Napa, Mike Thompson, who is charged with shaping the future of gun laws in America. We'll speak with Representative Thompson about his role as the Chair of the House Democrats Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and whether our region can prevent gun violence without leaning on stricter gun requirements.

Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro Follow Up Over the course of seven days in February, doctors Randi and Paul Hagerman, along with other scientists from the UC Davis MIND Institute, made their way through forest woodlands, alpine desert and arctic zones of Mount Kilimanjaro. They did all this to raise awareness of fragile X syndrome and fragile X-associated disorders and to raise funds to support their groundbreaking research to find the cure. The fundraised money will go directly toward the research efforts at the UC Davis Mind Institute.

The Women of "Robyn is Happy" The B Street Theatre's latest production "Robyn is Happy" is a new piece that showcases incredibly strong performances from three local actresses. The content isn't always easy, but neither is life, and it's often hilarious. Playwright Michael Elyanov said he wrote the play because he missed seeing funny, fearless and ferocious women on the stage. We'll talk with actresses Elizabeth Nunziato, Melinda Parrett and Amy Kelly about playing three life-long friends who find their relationships unraveling when one of them falls for a man she shouldn't.

Be honest, do you turn your nose up a little bit? Joining us to defend the redheaded step child of salad greens is Capital Public Radio's Food Reporter Elaine Corn, who joins us for our first installment of Insight's new signature segment "Eating the Region."
