Growing Up Latino A panel of renowned experts and speakers, moderated by award-winning journalist and Latino USA executive producer and host Maria Hinojosa, will explore the challenges of growing up Latino/a today. "Growing up Latino and Surviving to 25" begins at 6 p.m. at UC Davis. We'll talk with two of the panelists: Dr. Sergio Aguilar-Gaxiola, who along with Dr. Lina Mendez of the UC Davis Center for Reducing Health Disparities, will share key findings from a June 2012 study of the landscape of mental health services for Latinos in California; and Nikko Gabriel Reynoso, a UC Davis student who will speak about his personal experiences coping with identity and family. And we'll talk with Hinojosa about why the panel discussion is happening here.
