We went on campus and asked Sacramento State students if they’re feeling more urgency about their applications because of the recession.
Students: "Yeah if I didn’t have financial aid…I might have to take out loans or do more scholarships.”
That was criminal justice major Tony Perez, music major Phylicia Morris, and psychology major Meredith Schuetze. We found them around lunchtime Friday at the student union.
Morris says she filed her application over the weekend. She’s also looking for a job, but still needs the extra help to get through school. Schuetze says without financial aid, she would hardly be able to afford anything.
Students can still file their financial aid application after tomorrow’s deadline, but money will be limited.
