Several thousand tea party supporters gathered on the
grounds of the state Capitol today. It was one
of about 50 events statewide.
They called for smaller government, lower taxes, and the rollback of some California environmental regulations. Many people wore red, white and blue clothing and hung tea bags from glasses and hats. Others carried signs protesting the new federal health care law.
