Josh Mastronarde found time to stop by his polling place at the California Museum in downtown Sacramento.
Mastronarde: “I generally vote in each of the elections. I think it’s important to get out there and make sure that everybody votes so the influence of the ads and the few people that do get out and vote aren’t overly represented.”
So did Jessica Westbrook, who works just across the street.
Westbrook: “It’s just really convenient. There’s not a lot of people here, so you can just get in and out and go back to work.”
Poll workers at the museum said the midday and afternoon were slow, but the morning was busy – with voters not only casting ballots the traditional way but also turning in their vote-by-mail ballots.
