It hasn’t been an easy summer for Margaret Carder, the Sacramento teacher we’ve been following in our Road to Recovery series. After two years of full-time teaching and one year as a substitute, Carder suddenly found herself without any work.
She spent the summer looking everywhere for a job – even outside the country. And finally, she got one – at her old district, Natomas Unified. She's now in her third week of teaching English Language Development at Natomas High School.
