In the wake of the financial meltdown that led to what has become known as the "Great Recession" Congress created the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission in 2009. The 10-member task force is charged with figuring out what went wrong leading up to the stock market crash of 2008, and how to avoid making those mistakes again.
Sacramento native Phil Angelides heads the commission, and
this week he brings his inquiry to his hometown. Angelides sat down
with capitol reporter Ida Lieszkovszky to talk about how the
commission's inquiry is going, and what they've learned so
far.
