When Fiorina arrived at her first campaign stop since Monday, at McClellan Business Park in Sacramento, a well-organized crowd full of "welcome back" signs was waiting. Fiorina had been in the hospital for an infection related to her reconstructive surgery for breast cancer.  She immediately - but briefly - addressed her health:

Fiorina: "I feel great.  It's great to be back.  And thank you so much for your prayers and your support."

Then, she quickly changed the subject to the Democratic senator she's trying to unseat:

Fiorina: "Barbara Boxer's answer is to spend more, borrow more, bail out more.  But we know that doesn't work - because it hasn't worked."

Boxer has wished her opponent a speedy recovery.  But with Fiorina back on the trail, the barbs began anew.  As Fiorina criticized Boxer's economic record, Boxer's campaign hit back with a statement saying Fiorina has opposed bills that would create jobs.

Meantime, this morning's Field Poll suggests Boxer has the edge heading into Tuesday's election.  She's up 49 percent to 41 percent - and holds a 17 point lead among decline-to-state voters.
