Chris Liu told ABC's "Good Morning America" today that he wasn't aware so many people watch YouTube. The 50-year-old Colfax resident defended the footage as exposing a security lapse at the airport.

"I don't think I was jeopardizing the safety. There have been numerous articles written about this security problem and I just wanted to address it. I didn't really think that anybody was watching YouTube so I didn't really think much of it."

Liu recently posted videos showing how ground crew can enter secure areas by swiping security cards without undergoing further screening. The videos have since been removed.

Liu has been suspended from an anti-terrorism program that let him carry a gun on planes and is under investigation by the Transportation Security Administration.
