That's Vaming Xiong, political activist and local Hmong language radio host. He says in this Hmong tradition, someone needs to guide Vang Pao's soul to the spirit world.
"That would involve where he born to wherever he go. So you could talk for about four- five hours, because you're talking about all the places General Vang Pao has been."
One of those places is the mountains of Laos where Vang Pao rose to prominence. He led the Hmong as an ally of the United States during the Vietnam War.
Vaming says U.S. veteran and Hmong groups are asking that Vang Pao be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
