Johnson says he wants to show the NBA that the Kings should stay here…and not move to Anaheim. He says it's important that the league knows how things have changed here.

KEVIN JOHNSON: "We're also going to introduce the NBA officials to some of our regional leaders, because I think it's important; they're going to want to know what's different this time than the previous times when we've tried to do a new entertainment and sports complex…and failed. And I think there's a political will. I think we have leadership. And I think our public is really ready to engage in this topic in a way we have not been willing to do in the past."

Johnson says he's not concerned that the NBA delegation will be led by the owner who moved a team from Seattle to Oklahoma City. He says Clay Bennett will have the perspective of both sides, and may have answers that would be useful as Sacramento makes its case to keep the Kings.
