East Sac, Oak Park Residents Asked About New High School

The district has launched a new online survey to get public feedback.

District Superintendent Jonathan Raymond points out that eight years ago the area lost its only traditional high school when Sacramento High became an independent charter school.

"There are some families that are leaving our school district and going to either private or parochial schools or schools in other school districts. And that's obviously our concern as to whether or not we've got programs and we've got the ability to serve all of our residents."

Among other things, the 15-question survey asks parents to rank courses and programs they think are important for a high school to offer.

It'll be posted on the district's website until June 24th.
