For Sacramento Kings fans, it's disappointing news. But, for those who work in NBA arenas, the news could mean a loss of health benefits. Cecille Isidro is with Service Employees International Union.
ISIDRO: "To qualify for health benefits, stadium and arena workers have to work a certain number of hours and if these games end up being cancelled, they just might not be able to make that threshold to qualify for health insurance the following month."
Isidro says that threshold is 84 hours per month for maintenance, grounds keeping, and security staff at Power Balance Pavilion, The Kings so far have had only one scheduled home preseason game eliminated. Slow-moving labor talks threaten to cancel the three remaining preseason games and much -if not all- of the regular season.
