CSU Cancels Meeting Over Fears About Crowd Control

The decision comes after protestors, earlier this month, damaged the entrance to the Board of Trustees building in Long Beach. Claudia Keith is with CSU:

"We had a number of large protests of external groups a couple of weeks ago. And looking at our facility and the damage that we still have to repair, the board decided that the only action that they were going to take up, they can just do that in January."

That "action" is a review of CSU's presidential compensation policy. Keith says that includes how university presidents are selected and how salaries are set.

CSU currently has five presidential vacancies at: Northridge, Fullerton, San Francisco, San Bernardino and the Maritime Academy.

The board will take up the issue at its meetings on January 24th and 25th
