The Unified Wine & Grape Symposium will attract nearly 12,000 wine professionals to the Sacramento Convention Center.
Lyndie Boulton, Executive Director of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture, says there are many reasons why Sacramento has hosted the largest wine trade show in the Western Hemisphere for 18 years.
BOULTON: "A good part of our industry in terms of vineyards is in the San Joaquin Valley. We also have a lot of alliance with our legislators, so it makes it makes perfect sense to be right here by the Capitol."
If it has to do with wine, it's here - bottles, barrels, corks, computers, yeast -- the wine -- even regulation. Across from winery tractors is a booth manned by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.
Exhibits will be open Wednesday and Thursday, January 25-26. Find more information here.
