In Plumas County, U.S. Forest Service and local crews are fighting the Chips fire burning near the town of Belden…and southwest of Lake Almanor.  Crews reported significant progress last night clearing a large section of land on the northeast side of the fire.

But 940 structures remain threatened. The fire has burned nearly 37,000 acres and is 12 percent contained.

Cal Fire and local agencies are fighting the Walker and Wye Fires that are now 7,000 acres combined and 30 percent contained. They are burning near Clearlake, 70 miles west of Yuba City

And The Ramsey Fire has burned about 800 acres in the North Fork of the Stanislaus River Canyon. The fire has reached Highway 4 to the north and caused that roadway to be closed in some places. Cal Fire reports that fire is 10 percent contained.
