An arrest was made this morning in the murders of two small children and their mother.   Sacramento County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives have arrested Grigoriy Bukhantsov for yesterday's murders of his sister-in-law, two-year old nephew and three-year-old niece.

Sergeant Jason Ramos with the Sheriff's Department says Bukhantsov left the crime scene in Rancho Cordova, but made no attempt to leave the Sacramento area, "We think he is the only person responsible for this.  We're not looking for any outstanding suspects.  With respect to the motive, I can only say that we've got information that this suspect had strained relationships with members of the family.  Can't be more specific about that and we don't know what the catalyst was for such a heinous act to take place."

Ramos says it appears no firearms were used in the murders.

A six-month old baby was found uninjured in a back room of the family's home.  The children's father is the suspect's brother.  He found his wife and two children dead Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect was arrested at a diner in Rocklin early this morning.  He is being held without bail in the Sacramento County jail.
