Nearly sixty percent of the county's registered voters are casting mail ballots in this election. Eric James dropped his off at La Sierra Community Center in Carmichael this morning.
JAMES: "Hey, every week I was telling myself to get it done and this weekend was get it done or not - so I waited until the last minute."
Maria Besely mailed her ballot in a couple of weeks
ago, but she stopped by the polling place to drop off her
sister's. Besely says she prefers to vote by
mail.
BESELY: "I need more time to look at all my notes on
the different propositions and candidates."
If you have a vote by mail ballot, do NOT put it in the mail
today; drop it off at a polling place.
