Sacramento County Elections staff have processed about 35,000 vote-by-mail and provisional ballots cast on Tuesday.
As of Friday afternoon, Bera has 105,245 votes (50.43 percent) and Lungren has 103,466 (49.57percent) The difference is 1,779 votes, or about .9 percent.

In the City of Sacramento, District 4 council candidate Joseph Yee continues to lead Steve Hansen by just 46 votes out of 19,000 votes cast.
And in the District 2 race, Rob Kerth has extended his lead over Allen Wayne Warren, leading by 215 votes.
The election office will update the numbers again at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
