Stockton police along with the FBI, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department, and the CHP have made 39 arrests since September.
Police displayed a large collections of guns and drugs seized in the sweeps.
Stockton Police Chief Eric Jones said the suspects who were arrested were the "worst of the worst".
JONES: "Apparently 30 Norteño gang members have been arrested for serious charges in what is now publicly known as Operation Family Feud."
Jones said gang members often targeted each other, and most of Stockton's homicides can be traced to gangs and drugs.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Ron Freitas says convicted gang members will likely receive long sentences.
FREITAS: "The gang enhancement can add several years to a sentence and also it raises their bail, creates a strike out of normally non-strike offenses."
Stockton police say more arrests may follow.
